Alexander brings a rich and diverse background spanning linguistics, finance, real estate, education, travel, Latin American art sales, and now, technology. He once worked at Transperfect, the largest privately run translation services firm in the world, having sold language services to the financial industry, and previously worked on Wall Street at Brown Brothers Harriman, a custodial bank.

He holds an International Business degree from The George Washington University and the University of Seville (Spain). Kaplan also possesses a CELTA from Cambridge University, where he studied English language teaching to adults.

As Founder and CEO of Linguado, he combines cultural insight with bold innovation, leading the company with a global mindset and a deep passion for human connection. His vision continues to shape a platform where people from all backgrounds can learn, share, and connect through social language and culture learning.

Michael is a seasoned technology expert with over a decade of experience in software development and innovation. As CTO, he leads the integration of Linguado's mission with impactful tech solutions, guiding the platform's evolution with a strong focus on performance, scalability, and user experience.

He is passionate about transforming ideas into reality and believes in the power of people to drive innovation. Through collaborative leadership and a clear strategic vision, Michael ensures that technology remains a catalyst for global connection and meaningful communication.

With a background in social work and marketing, Malu brings a people-first approach to Linguado's digital presence. Her deep understanding of human behavior, paired with a passion for languages and global cultures, allows her to create content that connects authentically with a diverse, international audience.

As Social Media Manager, Malu combines creativity, strategy, and cultural insight to craft stories that engage, inspire, and reflect Linguado's mission of fostering meaningful global connections.

Originally from Seattle and now innovating from Pittsburgh, Nikolaus is a mastermind in cloud infrastructure and backend architecture. His expertise extends into DevOps, ensuring our platforms are robust, scalable, and seamlessly operational.
